OFFICE CLERK IN DUAL DIAGNOSIS ADULT PARTIAL HOSPITAL FULL-TIME DAYS 23144

Screens the APH program phone calls, take messages and forward the calls to the Staff.
Schedules BNBMC Inpatient/In-house referrals via Resource Scheduling/Paragon software systems.
Medical Clinic appointments via BH Outpatient Clinic.
Data Entry:
(intermediate level) Inputpatient demographics,admissions, diagnosis, discharges,transportation, APHreferral approvals and Inpatient referrals into various spreadsheets.
Also, handwritepatient admission/discharge informationinto APH/Dual-Diagnosis admission/discharge books.
Utilizing various software programs:
ADS (Advance Documentation System), Paragon System (Resource Scheduling, Medical Records and Registration).
Assist Psychiatrists/Residents, Nurses, Counselors and patientswith patient care and office duties.
Proficiently navigates and utilizes the EMR, scheduling system and registration system to assist patients, clinicians and to perform multiple job duties.
Performs general office duties, including but not limited to, photocopying, filing, mail pick-up; distribution to appropriate staff.
Making sure office supplies/standardoffice paperworkare well stocked (Charts, standardized letters, Consents and etc.
).
Maintain clean office with labeling for organization of the Support Staff area.
Makerounds on the APHUnit to make sure patients are not in the hallwayand is in groups during grouptimes.

Administrative duties directed by the Office Manager (reports, processes and other directed duties as per direction).
Demonstrates competence in all procedures required to perform duties of the position.

Understands and adheres to the Medical Centers Code of ConductBASIC COMPETENCIESEducation:
High School graduate or equivalent required.
Experience:

years' clerical experience in a healthcare facility required.
Skills:
Speaks, reads, and writes English fluently.
Typing:
35 wpm (tested)Strong communication and writing skillsMust pass basic word processing skill tests.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook.
Strong Computer Skills.
Strong customer service skillsMust be detail orientedAbility to work independently and under pressure.
