Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the BCBA is to provide direct educational instruction to students in accordance with the students' IEP.
The BCBA provides instructional training on an ancillary basis as needed.
Physical and Emotional Job Responsibilities Working at a desk, over virtual platforms, conference table or in meetings of various configurations.
Standing and circulating for extended periods of time.
Observing students, reviewing data, reading research literature, and other printed matter.
Lifting and carrying objects up to 50 pounds.
Ability to cope with moderate to high stress levels.
Daily contact with students, teachers, and school staff.
Ability to drive school vehicles and monitor students in the community Regular contact with parents, community members and outside agency personnel.
Daily active instructional interaction with individuals displaying physically aggressive, self-injurious, or socially undesirable behavior.
Ability to implement crisis management procedures when needed Educational Programming:
Assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of instructional programs Develop, implement and evaluate behavioral intervention programs Assist in the development and distribution of progress reports Assist in problem solving individualized skill acquisition and behavioral intervention programs for which data do not indicate a sufficient rate or degree of change in the desired direction Review of individual pupils' program data Conduct pupil observations in classroom and community settings Actively participate in clinics and IEP meetings for pupils under their supervision.
Assist in the development of present levels of educational performance across settings Assist in the provision of family consultation services as assigned Other tasks and responsibilities to assist with the independence and skill acquisition of students Assist in the intake and admissions procedure Collect program wide data Participate in parent trainings Respond to clinical questions from families whether in person, telephonically, or via email.
Instructional Training:
Attend all pre-service and in-service trainings Assist and/or conduct assigned pre-service and in-service trainings in an evidence based manner.
Coordinate and participate in training of newly hired instructional personnel Participate in pre-service and in-service trainings related to families Assist in updating training materials Conduct remedial training in conjunction with professional improvement plans Participate in training and in community based instruction and provide feedback relevant to staff in the community Monitor student data and provide feedback to staff INITIATIVE REQUIRED The BCBA works one-to-one with his/her assigned pupils and is expected to bring questions and concerns to the attention of the Executive Director immediately.
The BCBA needs to be able to identify problems and present possible solutions on a timely basis.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree, preferably in Psychology, Education or related disciplines.
Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst REQUIRED
Experience:
Three to five years' experience working with children with Autism/PDD is preferred.
One year working as a BCBA.
PHYSICAL DEMAND/WORKING CONDITIONS:
The individual is expected to perform all responsibilities consistently and effectively.
Occasionally, the BCBA will be expected to remain after hours for staff meetings and training SUPERVISION The individual reports directly to the Clinical Coordinator and/or Executive Director regarding programming issues.
In addition, the individual reports to the Principal regarding administrative matters and performance evaluations.
Regular Work Hours:
The BCBA's regular work hours generally shall be from 8:

m.
to 4:
00 p.
m.
on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday The school day may be modified by EPIC in its sole discretion for, among other things, a BCBA to attend parent conference meetings, in-service or other meetings as otherwise required or deemed necessary during the contract period.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
